As a neuroscientist, and self-described brain nerd, I am passionate about understanding the complex functioning of the brain and its vast interconnections to the human condition. From the broad scope of general psychology to the more focused content in cognitive neuroscience, I thoroughly enjoy teaching, mentoring, and learning with my students. I am not actively involved with research, but my work has focused on the effects of early life adversity on health behaviors, such as substance use, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and psychophysiological techniques.
