Transfer Student
Transfer Student Experience (TSE)
The department is excited to offer a new student experience designed especially for incoming transfer majors, The Transfer Student Experience, or TSE! The TSE is an academic student experience which consists of a block schedule of courses that all TSE members are enrolled in during their first semester on campus. Through these courses and related co-curricular activities, students build community with other transfer majors and their faculty and advisors. The TSE is designed to facilitate the following learning outcomes:
- To foster a successful transition for transfer students to UNC Charlotte
- To introduce students to the discipline and department of Psychological Science at UNC Charlotte
- To expose students to opportunities for campus engagement and encourage involvement
- To engage students in self-assessment and self-discovery activities that promote academic success and career planning
- To explore the sub-disciplines within Psychology and their associated career paths
- To teach students about university resources and how to take advantage of them
- To foster the creation of a real community—one which fosters lasting friendships among students and meaningful connections with faculty and staff
